Our web design and development process
When it comes to web design and development, it is very important to work with a company that knows how to do things. We have a systematic process that allows us to work with you at your own pace, but also creates an atmosphere that allows you to participate in the process. We are working together on this project. It is a collaboration, and not a dictatorship. Please read our web design and development process below to learn more about the steps required to build your website.
Phase One: Discovery
We want to know everything about you! Part of our onboarding process involves completing a discovery questionnaire, asking a bunch of questions about your business or organization, telling us about the sites you like, the sites you owned, and more. We will then schedule a kick-off call so we can discuss everything you've sent.
Phase Two: Design
This is where the fun begins! Using the information you provided us during our discovery and shipping process, Susan will work to create a custom design just for you. You'll get a style guide to device color, typography, and responsiveness, along with a full-page starter concept of the home page for you to review and provide feedback. This is a collaboration, so we want to hear what you think and have your comments and suggestions throughout the process.
Phase Three: Development
Once you've signed your design, it's time to build! We will take your entire concept and turn it into a functional website. Once complete, we will provide you with a private URL to preview and test your new site. This gives you the opportunity to test it on all your devices, check that all the links and buttons work, and make sure you like the images and the layout of the content.
Phase Four: Content
A website is not complete until every page has content. We hope you have worked hard during phases 1-3 to get your content ready for phase 4. Your customers have come to the website for a reason, so you want to be sure that you have answered all of their questions! Content is crucial for every website.

Phase Five: Launch!
Hooray, it's launch time! That means you've tested, approved, and are ready to go live for the world. We'll do all the technical work on this process: upload it to your server, get it working, as well as any necessary debugging. (We'll make sure Google knows where it is as well.)
Phase Six: Training and Support
Your website is up, but we're just getting started! We will schedule a training call to guide you in managing your website and answer all your questions. We will also discuss support options with you at this time. Your site will need regular care to thrive.
